the room was described as a 'Deluxe Double,' but honestly, it was just small and crammed. street noise was unbearable at night, absolutely just horrendous. I almost thought about giving 5 stars, until I realized no complimentary upgrade was offered for the inconvenience. such a letdown from what could've been a lovely stay.

The Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and River View had a spectacular view of the river and offered a comfortable spot to unwind. Despite the small size of the guest house, the decor in the room added a charming touch that made the stay feel cozy.
Access can be a hassle, with ongoing road works turning the approach to the guest house into a maze. Parking is a real pain. you’ll need to hike uphill to the Cristal Park garage about 15 minutes away, and unloading in front is tricky with limited temporary spots and steep streets. The toilet tank issue was annoying, as it ran all night. closing the door was the only way to manage the sound. Breakfast left a lot to be desired, with scant options presented only if asked for, making it feel a bit like a scavenger hunt.

perfect spot for exploring porto's best attractions and parks
I loved that I was just a few steps from the Douro River, making morning strolls both scenic and refreshing, and my friendly hostess even marked all the must-visit spots on a map for me, which made wandering the twisting streets feel like a fun adventure.

The guest house boasts an excellent location just 100 meters from the Douro, nestled in a quiet yet conveniently accessible neighborhood. The room offered stunning views with a cozy decor and ample storage space. Breakfast was simple but served with quality items, especially appreciated was the accommodating hostess who provided breakfast items in my room for an early start. However, the layout of the streets made it tricky to find upon arrival, and the noise from nearby traffic could be a distraction during the night. Additionally, breakfast options were somewhat limited unless specifically requested, which felt a bit uninviting. A phone check-in process posed challenges—had I not had a SIM card, accessing the property could have been problematic.
